This "Moroccan Vintage Rug - Hana 340x215", is a densely woven and heavy rug. Robust and earthy, it a magnificent rug to place in a larger scale space and yet striking enough to command a presence.
The magic of Hana, is not in the high quality dense weave, which would've taken the artisan copious weeks and months to weave her. The magic is in the 2 tone colour of the patterning. Infact it allays a story, as all natural vegetable dyes that the weavers use to prepare for these rugs, are usually one off colours, handcrafted at the time of dying the wool, and its when we see the colours change, that we can understand that the weaver has run out and had to create different batches of wool to continue weaving. So whilst the pattern and weave remains the same, its the colour that has changed. And often the weavers purposely make express the differences, to tell the observer of the rugs story of its evolution.
Crafted with soft yet sturdy fibers, it is perfect for any home. Its intricately woven design gives a touch of elegance and will complement any décor. Uniquely handmade, the 340x215cm size provides ample coverage for any room and has a subtle earthy colour with a base of pale terracotta and then boldly woven with patterning in sage green and cream, then bold splatterings of dark chocolate, making this a stunning rug.
It is noted, that this rug can appear to throw varied colour tones in differing lights.
